News on Giving

The good news is that we are on target this year to reach the levels of income which we budgeted for, so I want to thank every member of the church for their contribution to sustaining and growing our Mission and Ministry in this Parish and beyond. In addition, because of savings in other areas, we have been able this year to make some vital changes, creating space for Children's work and for Prayer in the Waterton Chapel, and upgrading our Visual equipment.

As pensions are squeezed during this time of recession, it is understandably sometimes difficult for older people to give as much as they would wish, so a legacy may be something to think about, as a way of furthering the work of the Church in the long run.

A good example would be a small but timely legacy left recently by our
faithful member Gladys Easter, which helped enormously when we had to
provide new projectors and screens for our Families@4 service. So
whatever age you are, do prayerfully consider making a will which includes a contribution which will help your church as well as your favourite charities.
