The Pilates method of body conditioning improves strength, flexibility and muscle tone as well as increasing energy levels. It creates balance in  muscles, and suppleness in the body, allowing you to 'move better' for everyday as well as athletic activities. It works by strengthening muscles from the inside out. Originally created in the 1920's by Joseph Pilates, the method has evolved over the years as our understanding of the body has developed and is now accessible to anyone -  young or old, fit or unconditioned, it can also really benefit people with injuries or suffering with low back pain.  

There are regular classes running at the Barnabas rooms in Walton, suitable for all levels.
