Information about our worship

There is a wide range of worship at St. Helen's and St. Paul's. Our services are listed under News and Events.

St. Helen's
Our 9.15am Traditional service is a lovely, quieter service, using Common Worship or the Book of Common Prayer, with hymns led by our organist, and by our choir on second and fourth Sundays.

Our 10.45am Contemporary service is a lively, creative and informal service, suitable for all ages. It has a worship band and uses a variety of liturgy.

Our 6pm evening worship consists of Evensong on the first Sunday of every month, and 'Slow Space', a time of quiet prayer and meditation the first and third Sundays. Every 4th Sunday we meet from 6.30-7.30pm to pray together informally.

Our mid week Holy Communion service is every Wednesday at 11.30am in the Waterton Chapel,(entrance by the Green door, further down the path).

St. Paul's is a village church which provides worship on Sunday and Tuesday.

Our 11am service on Sunday is in a simple, traditional style, with good preaching and warm hospitality afterwards in the Barnabas rooms.

Our 3.30 pm Children's Church takes place every Tuesday during term-time, and welcomes parents/grandparents/childminders with children of primary school age to a creative, interactive and fun time of worship.

A Quiet Evening Prayer is offered on the second sunday of the month at 6pm.
