Portobello Community Forum

A forum consisting of residents, local churches and partners, who meet to foster, encourage and develop community life on Portobello estate.

Since the church in 2005 were invited by the Primary Care Trust to drive the Forum, it has been a privilege to feel called to this work and see the amazing things God has done as we've worked in partnership in the resourcing and support of Portobello.

In 2006 friends of Manygates Park raised money for the playground. Churches Together run an annual week-long festival. Portobello Community Forum with WDH, Groundwork and Keepmoat rebuilt the Portobello Community Centre which now is host to a thriving programme (see details).

In January to March 2010 the Rainbow Cafe was refurbished and a 5 aside football field was created in Manygates Park.
